When I launched my new website a couple of weeks ago, I stuck the words “Career Coach” at the top of my home page.

But it dawned on me that what I’m up to has very little to do with career coaching. Not in the traditional sense of career coaching anyway. I’m not helping my clients jazz up their LinkedIn profiles, brush up on their interview chops or write a stonking CV.

Perhaps that's why an old client once called me an “anti-coach”.

And while I’m certainly not anti-careers and nor am I anti-coaching, I do like the sentiment. If you want to figure out your strengths & weaknesses or “discover your values” then there are lots of traditional career coaches who can help you with that.

But again, this isn't what I'm up to.

I’m more likely to help someone see their career dilemma more clearly or find more freedom at work without changing their job.

That's why I've changed “Career Coach” to “Transformative Career Coach” on my website.

That feels more like it to me.

The thing is, even though their career dilemmas might be very different, my clients seem to want similar stuff.

By that I mean a mind that doesn’t argue with itself all day. Being able to put their feet up without feeling guilty. Not constantly wondering if they’re wasting their life. Less pressure and more room to breathe. Seeing they’re not as stuck as they think. And they want to feel more themselves too, wherever they sit on the org chart and whatever their colleagues expect of them.

I’ve seen these themes time and time again in my 1:1 conversations.

I also saw them crop up in the 50+ Mindset & Clarity workshops I ran over the last two years for a couple of hundred of my colleagues at work.

This is why I’ve gone with “Transformative Career Coach”.

If you'd like your working life to feel less of a slog, my group coaching program The Inside Job could be a good place to start.

It's also a great way to give my coaching a whirl without paying a couple of thousand dollars for one of my 1:1 coaching programs.

Investment in the program is only $20 a month and you can cancel your subscription whenever you like.

However…

I still haven’t loaded my all singing, all dancing sales pages for the program yet.

So if you’d like to sneak into the program for a small discount, until 11am UK Time (about three hours from when I sent this email) you can join the program for $15 rather than $20. And for as long as you stay signed up, the monthly cost will stay at $15 too.

The only fly in the ointment is there’s no snazzy sales pages to sink your teeth into before you join.

If you’re ready to jump in, here’s the link:

Use the code HULLABALOO to claim your discount. The code expires 3 hours from the time I hit send on this email.

To fulfilment,
